Parser 2
Decode the details: Extract key fields from real TCP packets with smart parsing!
DESCRIPTION:
NOTE: This problem logically follows parser_1, however it is not mandatory to have solved parser_1 to attempt this.
Let’s step further into the world of packet parsers. We will be working on a block that decodes TCP packets and extracts the required information.
The Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is one of the core protocols of the Internet protocol (IP) suite, enabling reliable, ordered, and error-checked delivery of data between devices in a network. TCP operates at the Transport Layer of the OSI model, sitting above the Internet Protocol (IP) and providing the foundation for many applications, such as web browsing, email, and file transfer.
You can feel free to search the web for more details on this protocol. Here, you see the structure of a complete TCP packet in a C-style struct format.
